Krazy Good Kale Chips

Serves 6
 
Ingredients:
 
2 bunches of your preferred Kale type (curly vs. Lacinato or others)
2 tbsp. Nutritional yeast
1 tbsp. Garlic Powder
Dash/Sprinkle of salt (really a dash goes a long way!) ~ ¼ tsp.
Juice of one Lemon
 
Directions:
 
Pre-heat oven to 300 degrees Remove stems from Kale.  Tear Kale into pieces and place on baking sheet. Spread the rest of the ingredients on top of Kale.  Massage ingredients into Kale.
Place in oven for 20-25 minutes frequently stiring to make sure the outside pieces aren’t burning.  Kale is done when all is crisp.  
 
I tried making Kale chips so many times without success until I discovered the secret of keeping the oven temperature low and minimizing the amount of salt.  The lemon, garlic and nutritional yeast make these to die for but you don’t have to use them.  I do think it helps with the bitterness of the kale at times.  My kids love these, in fact I will make these a couple times a week with dinner and there are never any leftovers!
 
They are great for lunches too or on sandwiches or wraps to add a little cruchy twist!
